VISION

Hatha Sutra aims to touch as many lives as possible by offering powerful yogic practices designed by Sadhguru - The thread that guides you through unchartered territories that haven't been tread by you before.

 

Sadhguru says, " A sutra is like the body, just the physical basis – the energy is something else. In Yoga, we are using the physical only as a base, which is the nature of creation. Even your physical body is only a platform. It is not the real thing. That is the way the whole existence is made."

 

We at Hatha Sutra are a group of trained Classical Hatha Yoga Teachers, under the guidance of Sadhguru. We wish to spread this exuberant gift of the yogic sciences across the world.

UPA YOGA

Upa-yoga is a simple yet powerful system of exercise that activates the joints, muscles, and energy system. Based on a sophisticated understanding of the body’s mechanics, Upa-yoga dispels inertia in the body’s energy and brings ease to the whole system. It relieves physical stress and tiredness.

ANGAMARDANA

Angamardana, a fitness system rooted in yoga, offers everyone the opportunity to invigorate the body and reach peak physical and mental health. “Angamardana” means gaining complete mastery over the limbs, organs, and other parts of the body. True to its name, this practice revitalizes the body on all levels including the muscles, circulatory system, skeletal structure, nervous system, and the basic energy system.

SURYA KRIYA

Surya Kriya is a potent yogic practice of tremendous antiquity, designed as a holistic process for health, wellness, and complete inner well-being. “Surya” means “sun,” and “kriya” means “inner energy process.” Surya Kriya activates the solar plexus to raise the samat prana, or solar heat, in the system. It also balances a person’s left and right energy channels, leading to stability of the body and stillness of the mind. This strong foundation becomes the basis to explore higher dimensions of life.

SURYA SHAKTI

Surya Shakti builds the physical body – it makes the sinews and ligaments of your body strong. In Yoga, we give importance to the sinews that hold the skeletal system and the whole body together. When we do any yogic practice, which is physical in nature, the focus is mainly to strengthen those, not to pump up your muscles. Strengthening the sinews of the body is what will endure for a long time and keep you well. Surya Shakti does this in a tremendous way.

YOGASANAS

The word asana literally means a posture. Out of the innumerable asanas a body can assume, 84 have been identified as Yogasanas, through which one can transform the body and mind into a possibility for ultimate well-being. Yogasanas are not exercises, but rather very subtle processes to manipulate one’s energy in a particular direction.

SHANMUKHI MUDRA

Shanmukhi mudra is a simple but subtle practice that brightens and rejuvenates the face and eyes and brings about a state of balance leading toward increased awareness and meditativeness.

JALA NETI

Jala Neti is a process of cleansing the nasal passages with salt water. This allows breathing to become free so that air can enter the lungs unimpeded by mucus and dirt which easily builds up during the day.

We, at Hatha Sutra are a group of Classical Hatha Yoga Teachers, trained under the guidance of Sadhguru at the Isha Yoga Centre.

 

When the focus shifts from compulsive to conscious, from friction to smooth transitions, we can say we are on the right path towards our well being. Using the body and mind as stepping stones to higher possibilities is a choice we choose to excercise. 

 

Having experienced transformation within us through the powerful practices of Hatha Yoga, we are now offering this to as many across the world, to experience such blissful tranformation.

It is with immense joy that I will share with how the Hatha Yoga Journey has transformed me outwardly and inwardly.

 

Yoga or 'Union' is Life itself, it's me, it's in everything I do or say or think or feel - this is the core of what I have experienced.

​

I have lived a multi faceted life, living on the edge, just for the 'high' of it.

I have been a basket ball player of my time, and an athelete and a biker.

I have gone through the rigors of studying for top notch exams...cleared some like the CET and later on NET(qualifying for professorship nationally), post graduated in Business Management and obtained a Ph.D in Humanities specifically literature. Multi tasking through managing my own and thriving Event Management Company to teaching and volunteering at NGOs, I was in the rat race just like every other person. 

 

However, I have had questions of the spiritual sort since I came to my own senses of understanding the world.

The spiritual world has always been enigmatic to me and I have always been intrigued with questions of the sort.

 

Being Introduced to Inner Engineering was the much needed anchor in my life of questioning and seeking. From then on, my journey amplified and made me do Bhava Spanadana Program, Shoonya Intensive and The Silence Program which finally led to the 5 + months of Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Program.

 

The training was intense but blissful, heart breaking but loving, crazy but intensely sane, withering but a beautiful blossoming. All of it ironical but true to the core.

 

Though my official training culminated on 11 th feb 2021, life is a journey which teaches you with every passing day, so the learning continues.

Having offered numerous classes in Pune I beseech all of you to be part of this transformative journey.

Since I was a teenager, I have been passionate about assisting others in achieving the pinnacle of their wellbeing. So I studied Psychology. I researched the well-being index of yoga practitioners for my psychology thesis.

The study's findings completely blew my mind. Since then, I've started using yogic practices as a technique to treat my patients with mental health issues.  After some time, I learned about and started doing Isha Yoga. I made the decision to enrol in the Hatha Yoga Teacher's Training because I have noticed a considerable improvement in both my mental and physical health.

​

In the year 2020, I finished my 1750+ hour teacher training programme, and I have been instructing yoga ever since. My life was changed by the teacher training programme in ways that I cannot even begin to describe; it has been an indescribable experience, and teaching hatha yoga has also changed me.

 

Regardless of age or physical capability, this amazing science has the power to significantly alter a person's life. Classical Hatha Yoga can be beneficial whether you want to enhance your physical health, mental well-being, or both.

I cordially encourage you all to join us on this wonderful journey and to personally reap the rewards of practising Hatha Yoga.

From the age of 6, for 12 years I studied at Isha Samskriti, an education system envisioned by Sadhguru based at Isha yoga center. My childhood was spent in an atmosphere of dedication, discipline and focus. We specialised in an unique blend of performing arts such as Bharatnatyam, Indian classical music, Kalaripayattu, the Samskrit language & arts. 

 

Doing yoga was an intricate part of our everyday routine and it has completely changed my life. The kind of mental capabilities and physical well-being it has offered me is unparalleled. This led to the completion of the 1750+ hours of intense training & I chose to take up teaching these simple but powerful practices. I feel this is what the world needs and I count it as a blessing to be able to offer this to innumerable people.

EXPRESSIONS

Namaskaram all, Just wanted to share my Yogasanas experience, I recently attended Yogasanas classes in Pune, started practicing it since last 15 days. The practice makes me feel so light, very energetic and have seen a real improvement in my physical and mental body. And realized simply breathing in and out can be amazingly calming.

 

Harkirat akka is a fantastic teacher. Her directions are very clear. She’s very observant, constantly checking your posture and she always focuses on breathing. I am very happy that I found her.
